Emergency Care
If you have any of the following, it could be a dental emergency.
- Severe pain in the tooth or gum
- Swollen jaw
- Broken tooth
- Tooth that hurts when lying down
- Tooth that is very sensitive to hot / cold food or drink
- An adult tooth that starts shaking
Emergency dental appointments are meant to bring the emergency (usually pain or infection) under control. It may not be possible or even recommended carry out complete dental treatment at the emergency appointment. The definitive dental treatment is often scheduled for a subsequent appointment.
