Crowns

A crown is a restoration that fully covers a tooth (like a cap). The tooth is shaped such that it sits inside the crown.

Choice of Crowns:

  • Full Zirconia
  • Zirconia with ceramic
  • Full ceramic
  • Ceramic with metal
  • Full metal

Crowns are placed in many situations including on Root Canal treated teeth, to restore partially fractured teeth, to strengthen teeth that have very large fillings, to protect teeth that are worn down or to improve esthetics in compromised front teeth.

Teeth coloured crowns such as full ceramic or zirconia crowns are often the crowns of choice today. They are strong, durable and very esthetic. They look and function similar to natural teeth.
